Dr. David Schmidt, DDS
Dr. Schmidt graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and has been practicing in Ypsilanti since 2010. He sees patients of all ages and likes to take his time, explain your options, and keep treatment simple.
If you ever need a specialist, he will refer you to someone he knows and trusts.
Our team has decades of experience, and many have been with the practice for years. Patients tell us they like seeing the same people at every visit.
When your hygienist has known your teeth for years, she is more likely to notice when something changes.

Most of what we do is checkups, cleanings and keeping small problems small. Here is everything we offer.
Regular hygiene visits, gum cleanings, sealants, and the early catch that saves a tooth.
Tooth colored fillings, inlays and onlays that keep as much of your own tooth as possible.
Scanned, designed and milled here in one appointment. No impression trays, no temporary.
Dr. Schmidt is a certified Invisalign provider. Clear aligners for teenagers and adults.
Porcelain veneers, bonding and whitening for teeth that are chipped, stained or uneven.
Implant restorations, full and partial dentures, planned around what you actually need.
Scaling and root planing and ongoing gum care for patients who need more than a standard cleaning.
Custom guards to stop the wear before it turns into cracked teeth and crowns.
In pain? Call us and we will do our best to see you the same day.
From same day crowns to hospital grade air filtration, here is some of the equipment we use.
We scan your tooth, design the crown on a screen and make it right here in the office. Most crowns are done in one appointment, so there is no temporary and no second trip.
A small camera scans your teeth in a couple of minutes, so there is no messy impression material.
AI enhanced x-rays give us a sharper picture, and we will show you what we see on the screen.
The crown is milled in our office, then fitted and adjusted the same day.
We run IQAir air purifiers all day, the same type of filtration used in hospitals, along with careful infection control.
If air quality is important to you, ask us about it when you call.
Digital scans, clearer x-rays and same day crowns mean less time in the chair and fewer trips back.
Here is what a few of our patients have to say.
Good job, well done. Dr. Schmidt is such a sweet man. I had no pain after, did not need any pain meds and he even called to see how I was doing later. Very impressive.
Bonnie T.
My whole life after breaking my teeth I was worried about getting crowns and vowed not to do it. After talking with him about it he calmed me enough to give it a shot. Boy did they turn out great.
Greg C.
The caring, sensitivity and compassion Dr. Schmidt adds to his remarkable skills are a wonderful gift to his patients.
