What to do before you get here.

A few quick steps can really help, especially if a tooth gets knocked out.

Knocked Out Tooth

Act fast

Pick it up by the top, not the root. Rinse it gently without scrubbing. Try to put it back in the socket, or keep it in milk. Call us right away. The first hour matters most.

Broken Or Chipped Tooth

Save the pieces

Rinse your mouth with warm water and keep any pieces. A cold compress on the cheek helps with swelling. Many broken teeth can be repaired with a same day crown.

Toothache

Don't wait it out

Rinse with warm water and gently floss in case something is stuck. An over the counter pain reliever can help, but don't put aspirin on your gum. If the pain keeps you up at night, call us.

Lost Filling Or Crown

Keep the crown

Bring the crown with you and avoid chewing on that side. We can often put it back on or make a new one the same day.

Go To The ER

Swelling that affects breathing or swallowing, a high fever, or a serious injury to the face or jaw needs the emergency room first.
