We are always happy to see new patients of all ages. Here is what to expect at your first visit.

Call the office
Call 734-485-2200. Allie, Tina or Madison will find a time that works for you, take your insurance info and answer any questions.
Fill out your forms
Print the new patient forms below and bring them with you, or come a few minutes early to fill them out here. Parking is right out front.
Exam and x-rays
Dr. Schmidt checks your teeth, gums and bite, and takes digital x-rays if you need them. He will show you everything on the screen.
Cleaning
Most first visits include a cleaning with one of our hygienists.
Your plan and the cost
If you need any treatment, we will explain your options and the cost before anything is scheduled.
Please bring:
- Photo ID
- Your dental insurance card
- A list of medications you take
- Any recent x-rays from a previous dentist, if you have them

How long is the first appointment?
It depends on what you need. We will let you know how much time to plan for when you book.
Do you accept my insurance?
We accept most traditional dental insurance plans and file claims for you. We do not participate in HMO plans. Call with your plan details and we will check. Insurance and financing.
Can I bring my children to the same appointment time?
Yes. We see the whole family and can often book back to back visits.
I get nervous at the dentist. Is that okay?
Of course. Let us know when you call. Dr. Schmidt and the team will go at your pace and explain each step.
